After volunteering with Dogwatch for two years, I decided to find a way to turn my passion for dogs into a career. I completed a Certificate in Animal Care and am now currently studying towards a Diploma in Veterinary Nursing. I also have my Pet First Aid certificate.
Two months after starting with Top Notch and falling in love with every Golden Retriever I met, I decided that I needed one of my own (named Arlo). Having grown up with two Jack Russells (aptly named Jack and Russell), I also have a big soft spot for little dogs with big personalities.
For me, the best part about my job (aside from spending all day with dogs!) is building relationships with the dogs in our care. It always makes me smile when I see dogs that have stayed with us previously come bursting out of the car for a cuddle from the staff.

I am thrilled to be a part of the Top Notch team as a dedicated kennel worker. With over four years of hands-on experience working closely with our furry companions, I’ve grown a genuine affection and deep understanding for dogs. I am passionate about providing a safe and enjoyable environment for your fur-babies.
My journey has equipped me with solid insights into dog behavior, nutrition tailored for Kiwi canines, basic health essentials, and grooming techniques. Being a seasoned “chin scratcher,” I know just how to put that smile on your dog’s face. I’ve also successfully completed a comprehensive pet first aid course, ensuring that every pup receives the TLC they rightly deserve.
My personal sidekick is a spirited Blue Heeler named Jock, who’s been my partner in crime for five awesome years. This bond has ignited a passion for these wonderfully unique, stubborn, and spirited dogs.

Growing up with dogs has made them become a big part of my life. At home I have three beautiful dogs; a GSP, Labrador X and a Foxy all who I adore.
I am an experienced dog owner and have completed a Pet First Aid course. I have also bred both detection and family dogs in the past. I decided to pursue this hobby further after high school at Top Notch.
I am currently studying commerce and Mandarin full time, with an interest of possible animal study in the future. When I’m not studying, I’m spending my spare days at Top Notch.
Building relationships with the dogs in our care is always my favourite part as each one has something unique to offer!
